My last day in Berlin, between the final packing and dinner with Emmy and Greg, I opted to head back to Weißensee Jewish Cemetery. This time there was no rain, and I was really struck by just how ridiculously green the cemetery is. I hope as the resotration continues that the vines and trees aren't trimmed back too much.
A restored area.
Puddles.
It's hard to show how large the cemetery is, but hopefully these pictures of some of the laneways gives an idea. The whole time I was there (about 2 hours) I only saw one other person. Perfect.
Emergency Exits?
The graves and the scenery.
