Still Snowing In Berlin

Ducks Landing on the River Spree

Paris - Back to Berlin

Paris - Perfume Museum

On my last day I went to some small but charming museums. The Perfume Museum was a real highlight.

Paris - Arch de Triomph

The 12 lanes of traffic that converge on the roundabout. If you get into an accident here no insurance company will give you a penny. Period. Statistically there is an accident every 30 minutes.

Paris - Flight Cancelled

I was supposed to fly out on the Monday night back to Berlin but over 200 flights were grounded due to string winds. This sort of thing does not happen often in Paris because they were ridiculously disorganized. 500 people (from 5 easyjet flights) waiting in line for 4 hours with no food or water? Not pretty. Nor was it pretty that when we finally got to the hotel at almost 12 midnight, the kitchen was closed. Unlike others though, I was not so upset. Two more days in Paris!

This is the hotel.

It was sort of in no-mans land.

That white car parked on the side walk is actually a police car. When I started off walking to the metro they were hauling some dude out of bed and into the car. Guess he was trying to make a getaway at an airport hotel.

Paris - Bullet Holes

The only building in Paris showing bullet damage from WWII. Even a Nazi fell so in love with the city that it was spared (save district 15) and Hitler was tricked.

Paris - Cimetiere du Montmarte

Cats. Skiddish stray cats everywhere. They were charming though.

And of course pretty graves.

Paris - Sunday Bird Market

The flower market on Ile de la Cite turns into a bird market on Sundays. It was a bit loud, but I was in absolute bird heaven.

Paris - Fig Streudel

Enough said.
