Ave Maria

There is a religious shop in the city that I highly recommend going to. The owner is very nice and gave me a great deal on Frankincense and Myrrh! It made my day, really.

S41 & S42

The S41 & S 42 lines run in a ring around central Berlin. The S41 goes clockwise and the S42 counter-clockwise.

Tiergarten

Tiergarten is mondo pretty blanketed in fresh snow. Its too bad I didn't get a chance this trip to see the park in its Summer glory, but I'll settle for Winter beauty.

Modular

There is a store in Berlin called Modular and it is so amazing. Anything an artist, designer etc could/would/should need is here. And colourbatized. Great!

Reichstag

Berlin's Parliament buildings. The history is so intertwined with the rise of the National Socialists (nazis) that it's too much to even give a synopsis of. Here's the wikipedia link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reichstag_building

There is a glass dome addition on the top and last week I walked up it. Freezing cold (it's not entirely enclosed) but really great views.

Treptower Market & Quarkkeulchen

One of the great junk markets of Berlin. I actually find it a bit overwhelming. There is junk everywhere.

Better than any donut. Deep-fried batter, dusted with icing sugar, hot from the truck. Mmmmm....
