The End...

The End of the Travel Blog for now. I will though be starting a (wait for it... shocker of the century...hold on now...) Cooking Blog.

To quote Gregoire Blunt: "But you don't cook!"

Exactly. I'm going to.

To quote Sarah Scace: "You love good food, you just hate to cook it."

Exactly. I'm going to learn to love the process as much as the end result.

Should be interesting. I hope to have the first couple entries done this weekend during my 'avec Christienne sans Taylor' time. I'll post the address once it's up. First up: a recipe from Emmy Skensved (big oven mits to fill!).

85th

It seemed pretty abrupt to close this blog with just my return flight. I mean, does life continue? So I thought I'd sign off by sharing the best part of my weekend back: my Grandpa's 85th birthday party at the Acton Legion.

Driving to Acton with my folks.

Before the guests arrive.

The other side of the legion, full of childhood memories.

The guests arrive.

And my grandparents have a blast.

Grandpa McCutcheon as past president.

Grandma Courtney as past Ladies Auxilary President.

Grandpa Courtney's name on the list of Beardmore employees who served.

The Legion auditorium named after Grandpa.

The birthday cards stacked.

People kept on noticing this guy out on the ice, fishing. He said the ice is still 12 feet deep though.

The plane!

The drive back to Ingersoll.

Pearson to Woodstock (Ingersoll)

Taking the Robert Q shuttle to Woodstock where my mom picked me up.

Tegel to Heathrow

Waiting for a while.

Waiting for a 5-hour long while.
